Adobe Lightroom Integrates Firefly AI Capabilities
Adobe's AI assistant, Firefly, has been a feature in Photoshop for some time now, and it's finally making its way into Lightroom. In a recent press release, Adobe announced the addition of Firefly AI capabilities to Lightroom, starting with Generative Remove and Lens Blur.
The Generative Remove tool, similar to Magic Eraser, allows users to easily remove unwanted objects from images. Firefly will seamlessly fill in the gap with AI-generated pixels, creating a smooth and distraction-free image. This feature will be available in early access, hinting at more AI-enhanced tools to come.
Another exciting addition to Lightroom is the Lens Blur feature, which enables users to achieve blurred backgrounds in their photos without needing to master the technique in-camera. These new capabilities, along with expanded tethering support, HDR Optimization, and a streamlined mobile editing experience, are now available on Adobe Lightroom's desktop, mobile, and web versions.
Today, users can access these features on Lightroom mobile, desktop, iPad, Classic, and web apps. To take advantage of the early access tools, users will need Creative Cloud to download the Beta version of Lightroom.
